DO I NEED TO UPGRADE MY BMW BRAKES?

Take a closer look at the MMR F-Series Forged Monoblock Big Brake Kit.

If you're going to use your F-Series on track, or for fast-road use, the answer is a 'yes'. As with many OE-spec brakes, the factory stoppers are more than capable for everyday driving. But increase the demands on them, with increased power, grippier tyres or track day use and brake fade and the dreaded 'long pedal' becomes a real problem. And that's not what anyone wants to experience at high speed.....

The MMR Performance 6-piston front brake upgrade for the F2x & F3x platform is simply a level above anything else on the market for this platform. Designed without compromise for ultimate stopping performance, it's packed with motorsport-inspired features, bringing a true supercar look and feel in the braking department. Will fit all models with the factory Blue M-Sport Calipers.

At the heart of our brake kit is the lightweight Forged Monoblock Calipers. Rather than two halves bolted together, they're a one-piece construction that starts life as an ultra-strong forged billet. From this billet, extensive 5-axis CNC machining operations give each caliper its stunning finish. It's a construction technique usually reserved only for the highest-specification motorsport brake setups and ensures the ultimate stopping performance when used in extreme road, or race conditions.

The result is a 6-piston caliper that is both stiffer and lighter than any other, combined with exceptional cooling characteristics and stunning detailing. The thin-profile calipers give extreme stiffness and light weight, and aid in wheel clearance packaging - they require just a 5mm+ spacer to fit behind OEM 18" wheels. Finally, we offer a colour choice of either an OEM BMW Blue, Bright Red, Graphite Grey or stunning Nickel Chrome finish.

The calipers are mated with a set of our high-performance fully-floating high cast carbon two-piece disc assemblies giving a far higher friction coefficient compared to normal steel rotors. They are offered in either a 355mm or 380mm diameter with 32mm thickness. The 355mm disc requires a minimum of 18" wheel, while the 380mm kit needs 19" or bigger to clear.

The discs themselves feature a directional curved vein to aid cooling, so reducing the effect of fade. Fully floating mounting between disc and bell allow for thermal expansion and contraction to avoid cracking. The anti-rattle mounts keep it quiet.

Suitable for the F-Series cars - M135i, M140i, M235i, M240i, 335i, 340i, 435i, 440i with the factory Blue M-Sport Calipers.

Everything you need for installation is supplied: in other words, bolt on & drive!
